Promenade Entertainment is proud to announce the release of Real Life, the latest album from
Irish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Colin Deady — a record now receiving the
attention it richly deserves. “Courtroom of My Mind” is the second single – released
concurrently with the album.
Hailing from Skibbereen, Deady has built a reputation for crafting music that effortlessly
blends folk, jazz, and West Coast pop-rock into a warm, melodic soundscape. A self-taught
musician with a Master of Arts in Songwriting from the University of Limerick, his work is
marked by bright melodies, rich harmonies, and deeply personal, observational songwriting.
Deady’s debut album, Out of The Blue struck a chord with listeners and tastemakers alike. Hot
Press hailed it as a “wonderful sun-kissed feel by an accomplished songwriter,” while respected
broadcaster John Creedon (RTÉ Radio 1) described Deady simply as a “real talent.” The album
also earned “Album of the Week” accolades from Roddy Cleere on KCLR and Charlie
McGettigan on Shannonside Radio, further cementing its reputation as one of Ireland’s
standout independent releases.
Following the success of Out of the Blue, Deady continued to refine his sound, culminating in
Real Life — a collection of songs rooted in lived experience, delivered with authenticity and
musical finesse. The first single, “The Unexpected” released last year offered an early glimpse
into the album’s emotional and sonic depth, setting the tone for what would follow.
Now, with this release, Promenade Entertainment aims to bring Real Life to a wide audience.
Other focus tracks, including “Dursey Island” and the title track “Real Life” highlight Deady’s
gift for storytelling and his distinctive genre-blending style — where folk intimacy meets jazz
